REHDA Walks the Talk – A New Green HQ
REHDA goes green and achieves another milestone in the property industry with the completion of its new Headquarters. Developed on its original site in Kelana Jaya, the three-storey building took approximately 3 years to complete and it is well equipped with a wide range of facilities which include auditorium, library, lecture rooms, resource centre, multi-purpose hall, meeting rooms, offices, boardroom and a grand atrium.
The new building features green development ideas, in line with REHDA’S agenda in spearheading efforts towards promoting sustainable development and eco-friendly features, including natural ventilation wall system, photovoltaic (PV) technology and rainwater harvesting system.
The photovoltaic panels installed on the roof works to generate electricity while the block wall is a natural ventilation wall system that acts as a cooling system for the building.
Another unique feature of this building is the rainwater harvesting system whereby it collects rainwater from the roof for watering and cleaning purposes to reduce water consumption.
