The 4th series of the ‘International Conference on World Class Sustainable Cities’ (WCSC) themed ‘Cities for People’ aims to address, deliberate and come up with innovative solutions on developing and improving the quality of urban life through the provision of basic necessities and meeting the expectations of its citizens that may be compromised due to the ever-increasing population size and spatial area, as well as economic growth in the nation’s transformation towards achieving a high-income economy and developed World Class City status by the year 2020.
Since establishing the concept of World Class Sustainable Cities (WCSC) in 2009, this annual conference series has gained recognition and prominence among the industry professionals, Government agencies, city managers, academics, residents’ groups and stakeholders on the benefits and challenges faced in becoming a World Class City.
WCSC has been specifically designed to showcase some of the best and successful practices and experiences from World Class Cities, as well as to provide an opportunity for conference participants to learn, network and better understand of the efforts made within our own nation.
