Opening Ceremony of MAPEX March 2010
The Malaysian Property Exposition kicks off again in 2010 with an opening ceremony, where the Deputy-Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government officiated the exposition. The exposition was held from 19 - 21 March 2010 at the MidValley Exposition Hall and was organised by a committee headed by Dato' Michael Yam Kong Choy, Deputy President of REHDA. REHDA donated RM10,000 each to Persatuan Kebajikan Orang Cacat Manjung and Sekolah Semangat Maju Sitiawan.
MAPEX showcased over 100 development projects by 51 property developers. Other exhibitors were financial institutions, Tribunal for House Buyers' Claims, Treasury Housing Loan Division, Malaysia My Second Home, Jabatan Alam Sekitar and industry related players. About 5,000 units of properties valued at more than RM4.4 billion were offered for sale.

12th Malaysian Developers' Council Meeting
The Malaysian Developers' Council convened its 12th meeting on 13 March 2010 in Kota Bharu. Delegates from some of the most reputable developers in Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia deliberated on common issues and exchanged views and information on industry practices in their specific areas. MDC consists of the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (REHDA), Sabah Housing and Real Estate Development Association (SHAREDA) and Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers' Association (SHEDA)
REHDA Open House 2010
REHDA's Open House was a gathering of associates, colleagues and friends to close the year and celebrate the new year. Gracing this auspicious event was YB Dato’ Seri Kong Cho Ha, Minister of Housing and Local Government. REHDA thanks all who were present, including all YB's, Tan Sri's, Datuk-Datuk, Dato' Dato' and honoured guests from every field who joined us in welcoming the new year.
REHDA Media Briefing
REHDA conducted a media briefing on 17 December 2009 to update members of the media on the property industry related to the findings from the REHDA industry survey for the second half of 2009. And economist from RAM Holdings Berhad and also presented a paper. Mr Gerald Lim from Malaysia Property Incorporated (MPI) also delivered an introduction to MPI. The briefing was attended by all major broadcast and press journalists.
